Mission

To Love OSU by encouraging a culture of prayer, supporting a tangible space to pray and inviting a campus wide community to engage the coming of Jesus and His kingdom.

Vision

"If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. Now my eyes will be open and my ears attentive to the prayers offered in this place." -2 Chronicles 7:14-15

We seek to facilitate 168 hours of prayer each week. People meeting with Jesus and asking for His kingdom to come 24/7.

Our vision is simply Jesus: obsessively, dangerously, and undeniably Jesus. Our vision is an army of young people seeking revival and a campus transformed. We want The Ohio State University turned upside down with the kingdom of Jesus, and students living the life of Jesus. We want to see the church of Jesus, God's people, alive and active. A body unified in prayer and mission, living love loud for the renown of their God and King.

Who We Are

An invitation to pray. A call to encounter. People like you. Churches like yours. Ministries like yours. People who are bad at praying. Young people determined to “pray as if it all depends on God and live as if it all depends on them.” We are learning to pray…by praying! You are invited…

[Love OSU is a campus-wide community. Not like a campus ministry or church, but rather connecting students and young people involved in the different campus ministries and churches on/around campus through prayer.]

We are learning by asking "... Lord teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples." -Luke 10:1 NIV 
We are encountering God and discovering that "...apart from Him we can do nothing." -John 15:5 NIV 
We are crying out "...Here am I. Send me!" -Isaiah 6:8 NIV

Directions

Walking: The Prayer House faces the alley between 9th and 10th Avenue by the South Campus Gateway. Walk behind 47 W. 10th toward the alley and you will see it in the back.

Driving: Heading south on High Street into the south campus gateway, turn right into the taco bell parking lot and head down the alley. The prayer house is a few homes on the right. It is a beige house and there is a sign on the door “house of prayer.”

Parking: Two parking passes are available at the prayer house (ask the gate keeper). Otherwise, park on W 9th Ave anytime or W 10th Ave after 4PM and prior to 8AM.
Biking: Bicycles may be chained to the railing by the steps or brought into the house.

“The Prayer House is the only place on the OSU campus - which is the biggest campus in the US (and therefore it is kind of shocking) - where one can go at any time of day (in theory) and seek the Lord in deliberate prayer. Of course this can be done anywhere for He is faithful to hear our prayers, but to have a safe haven for this purpose on a campus so desperate for it, is truly awesome. I think of the house as a light in a mostly otherwise dim campus. It is also a meeting place for those who are seeking the Lord to come together in prayer and fellowship with one another and to force change, through prayer, on this campus.” –Dane
